200 Afrikaans books donated to Blomvlei Library

We wish to extend our heart-felt thanks to BIBLIONEF SA, especially Executive Director Jean William, for their generous donation of 200 Afrikaans books to Blomvlei Library at Blomvlei Primary School in Hanover Park!

Blomvlei Primary is a dual medium (English & Afrikaans) school and Afrikaans speaking pupils have only limited number of Afrikaans books to choose from at the moment. This kind contribution from BIBLIONEF SA would be greatly beneficial to the pupils and eventually other children in the community.

Opened since February 2011, Blomvlei Library – spacious enough to house thousands of book – is currently less than ½ filled. The Library holds the potential of providing a safe learning area for children in this gangster-filled and drug-ladden locality.

In this connection, we would like to make a call to individuals and corporates alike to help us fill up the library some more, especially with Afrikaans books which are so hard to find. With more than 800 pupils inside the school taking books, the shelves look almost bare and books in good condition would be greatly appreciated by the pupils.

Thank you once again BIBLIONEF SA for your genereous contribution! We really appreciate it!
