Fairfield Tours and Amabokoboko Sports & Adventures joins the Trust

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

The trust is please to welcome two new friends to the trust.

Fairfield Tours and its sports and adventure travel division, Amabokoboko, have shown their support for change in South Africa’s communities influenced by – and influencing – the South African tourism industry.

Johan Smal from Fairfield has been instrumental in the trust’s involvement at the Baphumelele Educare Centre and Respite Centre – especially by involving the group of Irish volunteers from the Woodberry Woodpeckers recently.

“We are on a major environmental and sustainable tourism drive and are implementing our various policies as we speak. As we have generated a mutual trust relationship we as Fairfield Corporate & Sport would like to extend the relationship with the TCD Trust” said Johan.

“Our clients are becoming more and more aware of the projects and would like to contribute. We advise them to donate to the trust then they can see the fruit of their donations as some are quite wary because from experience, they never see what happened with their contributions.”

Johan – thanks once again to you, your clients and the ever-energetic Woodberry Woodpeckers for your assistance and contributions.

Well done!

But now that the trust has reached the benchmark of 20 friends… What’s next? 50… 200… 2000… The sky is the limit! Join the trust today.

Making a difference at Grass Routes level

Thursday, August 9th, 2007

Grass Route Tours a leading Cape Town township tour operator – and one of the founding members of the TCD Trust – continues to make a difference to the communities of Cape Town by contributing for the fourth year running to the TCD Trust.

The trust would certainly not be where it is today without the experience and energy which Enver Mally, founder of Grass Route Tours, brings to the organisation.

Welcome to Zebra Crossing

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007

Zebra Crossings, one of Cape Town’s longest standing backpacker lodges, has signed up as friends of the trust.

Their contribution as Bronze Members is greatly appreciated. We encourage all backpacker lodges in South Africa to follow Daryl and the Zebra Crossing team’s lead and help the trust make a difference!

Thanks so much for your tremendous support :)

Thanks a lot guys!
