Ready.. Get Set.. GO DDR!

As Deon, Di & Ricky pursue their strenuous journey across South Africa, filled with ups and downs, we offer our full support and encouragement and send our warmest thoughts to them, up in the nerve-wrackingly cold mountains they are braving.

Having started their journey in Pietermaritzburg on June 15, they were in Kranzkop on Saturday 25 where the freezing weather caused them to stop briefly for refuge.

But on Sunday 26, DDR were back – flying down the track through Elandsberg and across the Great Fish river!

Injuries, bicycle troubles and harrowing cold have all been part of the game. Nevertheless the strong spirits of our riders remain uncurbed and as determined as ever, they plough on.
Regular updates on their remarkable journey are posted on the Freedom Challenge Blog at http://cycle4soccer.blogspot.com/ . An enthralling must-read for sure!

While this is mainly a personal challenge, our cyclists along with the TCD Trust wish to make every pedal stroke count and rely on your support for this endeavour.
Please pledge your support to this adventure on the Cycle 4 Soccer Facebook fan page.

All funds collected will go towards buying soccer boots and gears for children of the GCU Academy, an institution in Heideveld which strives to keep youngster away from the dangers of gangsterism and drugs. Fore more information on GCU, visit www.gcu.org.za

Thank you so much for those who have already pledged your support and good luck to DDR! We believe in you!
